The Federal Government of Nigeria has received financing from the African Development Bank towards the cost of the Urban Water Sector Reform and Akure Water Supply and Sanitation Project being implemented in Ondo State Water Corporations and intends to apply part of the agreed amount of this loan to payments under a contract for Design and Construction Supervision of Workshop, Laboratory and ODWC Office Construction
The assignment involves Architectural and Engineering Design of the proposed headquarters building of Ondo State Water Corporation including Laboratories, Workshops and Office complex and supervision of construction of the project. The scope of services will involve the following:
(a) Conduct a Site Analysis and Investigation on the entire site that shall include Relocation Survey, Site Investigation, Soils and Foundation Investigation, Construction Materials Investigation.
(b) Conduct a preliminary engineering study that establishes the technical feasibility of the construction project and conformance to land use guidelines prescribed by existing laws
(c) Submit a desirable Architectural and Engineering Designs for the proposed construction/development project that is compliant with the minimum building and design specifications for building of this magnitude;
(d) Conduct a schedule of detailed engineering activities for the construction of the Building that shall include Building Plan, Design, and Structural Analysis, Technical Specifications, Quantity and Costs Estimates, Program of Work, Construction Schedule and Estimated Cash Flow and Submission of Design Report and;
(e) Prepare Site or Right-of-Way plans and Environmental Impact Assessment as required by the Federal/State Ministry of Environment and in accordance with the Bank’s standards.
(f) Supervise the resulting construction works.
The Assignment will be in two parts, thus, (i) preparation of designs, drawings and specifications within 6 months under a lump sum contract- and ii) supervision of the works contract for a contract duration of 12 months or the time estimated for the construction works under a time-based contract
The Ondo State Water Corporation now invites eligible consulting firms to indicate their interest in providing these services. Interested Consultants must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (profiles, description of similar assignments experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills among staff, etc.). Potential consultants may constitute joint ventures to enhance their chances of qualification.
Eligibility criteria, establishment of the short-list and the selection procedure shall be in accordance with the African Development Bank’s “Procurement Framework October 2015, which is available on the Bank’s website at http://www.afdb.org .
