INVITATION FOR EXPRESSION OF INTEREST FOR TECHNICAL/FINANCIAL BIDS
(1.0) INTRODUCTION
The Sokoto State Government hereby invites reputable contractors for the technical /financial bidding for the construction of township roads in the state.

BID REQUIREMENT
(2.0) All interested contractors are expected to submit the following mandatory qualification documents
(a) Evidence of certificate of incorporation with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC).
(b) Evidence of current company income tax clearance valid till 31st December, 2023.
(c) Evidence of current Industrial Training Fund (ITF) compliance certificate valid till 31st December, 2023 (applicable to bidders whose staff strength is 5 and above and the bidders turnovers N50m and above).
(d) Evidence of current pension compliance certificate valid till 31st December, 2023 (applicable to bidders whose staff strength is 15 and above.
(e) Evidence of current Nigeria Social Insurance Trust Fund (NSITF) Compliance certificates valid till 31st of December, 2023.
(f) Evidence of registration on the National database of the federal contractors, consultants and service providers by submission of interim registration report (IRR) expiring on 31st of December 2023 or valid certificate issued by the Bureau for Public Procurement (BPP)
(g) Copy of certified Audited company accounts for the immediate past three years (2020, 2021 and 2022) duly stamped by certified auditors.
(h) Evidence of financial capability to execute the projects by submission of reference letter from a reputable bank indicating willingness to provide credit facility for the project when needed.
(i) A sworn affidavit certifying that the documents submitted for the exercise are not only correct but none of the company Directors has been convicted by any law court for any criminal offence relating to fraud of financial Impropriety or criminal misrepresentation or falsification of facts relating to any matter.
(j) A sworn affidavit certifying that the company is not in any bankruptcy proceedings or In receivership of the subject of any form of insolvency or winding up petition proceeding, and none of the officers of Sokoto state Government or bureau for public procurement (BPP) in a former or present Director of the company.
(k) Company profile with curriculum vitae of key staff to be deployed for the project including copies of their academic/professional credentials (in the case of the construction COREN, QSRBN, CORBON etc.
(i) A list with accompanying evidence of equipment intended to be deployed for the bidders must show evidence that these equipment are either owned or leased.
(m) All documents for submission must be transmitted with a covering/ forwarding letter under the company letterhead paper bearing a month other, the registration number RC as issued by the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) contact address, Telephone number, preferably GSM no and email address. The letterhead must bear the names and nationalities of the Directors of the company at the bottom of the page. The names and nationalities of the Directors of the company at the bottom of the page. (n) Please note that the state Government reserves the right to verify the evidence submitted
(3.0) SUBMISSION OF EOI DOCUMENTS
(I) The EOI documents are to be submitted in a sealed envelope and marked boldly and clearly at the top left corner expression of interest specifying the lot number and title of the project.
(II) The documents are to be deposited in the Tender Box locked at the Ministry of Works not later than 12 noon 9 NOVEMBER, 2023. Bidders should ensure that their submission(s) are appropriately logged in the submission register at the venue and acknowledgement slip obtained.
(III) The document shall be publicly opened immediately at 12 noon of 9 NOVEMBER, 2023 in the reception hall of the Ministry of Works. All bidders and NGO’s related to the procurement are invited to attend the opening.
(4.0) IMPORTANT NOTES
(a) Bidders should note that time is of the essence in the execution of these projects.
(b) Any of the bids that fulfill the criteria stated above shall be considered further.
(c) Bidders can bid for more than one (1) lots
(d) The State Government reserves the right to reject any or all bids packages and annul the process any time without incurring liabilities.
(f) Submission of bids is an offer and should not be considered as a commitment on the part of the Sokoto State Government, nor entitles any firm /company to make any claim(s) whosoever and/ or seek any indemnity from the state Government.
