CONTRACT TITLE: CONSTRUCTION OF 70KM ACCESS ROAD IN THE THREE SENATORIAL DISTRICTS OF KANO STATE

(1) The Kano State Government has received financing from the Islamic
Development Bank (IsDB) toward the cost of the Kano State Agro-Pastoral Development Project (KSADP), and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for the Construction of 70Km Access Roads in the three Senatorial Districts of Kano State (1).
(2) The Kano State Agricultural and Rural Development Authority (KNARDA) now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the Construction of 70Km Access Roads in the following locations: Danin – Garko, Gora – Madobi, Jido – Rijiyar Gwangwan, Mil goma – Sabon Garin Yankatsari, Wasai – Baitai – Gezawa, Danbatta- Diggol,Yalwa – Yamu – Buran – Rano, Gambawa -Yadai, Alkalawa – Dan Isa, Zarewa- Danguzuri, Zarewa – Fulatan which shall be completed within a period of 9 months. The activity has a completion period of 9 months at the above listed 10 locations and divided into four (5) lots as per below:
(a) Lot 1: KN/KSADP/W/B.3.3/0011 – Construction of 19.788Km Access Roads as follows; Danin – Garko (10.338Km) and Gora – Madobi (9.45Km).
(b) Lot 2: KN/KSADP/W/B.3.3/0012 – Construction of 14.728Km Access Roads as follows; Jido – Rijiyar Gwangwan (7.5Km) and Mil goma – Sabon Garin Yankatsari (7.228Km).
(c) Lot 3: KN/KSADP/W/B.3.3/0013 – Construction of 15.077Km Access Roads as follows; Wasai – Baitai – Gezawa (4.047Km) and Danbatta – Diggol (11.03Km).
(d) Lot 4: KN/KSADP/W/B.3.3/0014 – Construction of 11.574Km Access Roads as follows; Yalwa – Yamu – Buran – Rano (5.125Km) and Gambawa – Yadai (6.449Km).
(e) Lot 5: KN/KSADP/W/B.3.3/0015 – Construction of 12.408Km Access Roads as) follows; Alkalawa – Dan Isa (3.314Km) and Zarewa – Danguzuri – Zarewa – Fulatan (9.094Km).
(3) Bidding will be conducted through the National Competitive Bidding (NCB) procedures as specified in IsDB’s Guidelines: Procurement of Goods, Works and related services under Islamic Development Bank Project Financing (April 2019 version (Revised February 2023) and is open to all eligible bidders as defined in the Procurement Guidelines. In addition, please refer to paragraphs 1.18-21 setting forth IsDB’s policy on conflict of interest.
(4) Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from the Project Coordinator, Kano State Agro-Pastoral Development Project (KSADP), KNARDA building, KM 9 Hadejia Road, Kano, Nigeria, Telephone; (+234) 803 5960538, e-mail: ksadp2018@gmail.com and purchase the bidding documents during office hours (9:00am to 5:00pm working days).
(5) A complete set of bidding documents in English language may be purchased by interested eligible bidders upon the submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Fifty Thousand Naira Only (NGN50,000.00). The method of payment will be payable into 0080187881, Sterling Bank, KSADP State Government Counterpart Fund. Such a receipt shall identify the payer as representing a bidder or “joint-venture” willing to participate in the bid. The document can be collected during working hours, at the Secretariat of the KSADP, KNARDA Building, KM 9 Hadejia Road, Kano.
(6) Bids must be delivered to the address below on or before 22/11/2023 (30) Days from the date of this publication. Electronic bidding will not be permitted. Late bids will be rejected. Bids will be publicly opened in the presence of the bidders designated representatives and anyone who choose to attend at the address below.
(7) All bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security will be required as per:
(a) Lot 1: N34,000,000.00
(b) Lot 2: N35,000,000.00
(c) Lot 3: N32,000,000.00
(d) Lot 4: N20,000,000.00
(e) Lot 5: N30,000,000.00
Each bid MUST reach the Secretariat of the KSADP on or before the 22/11/2023 at 1200Hrs local time (GMT+1).
