REQUEST FOR BIDS
The Federal Government of Nigeria has received a loan of U$DS60 Million equivalent from the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) toward the cost of the Livelihood Improvement Family Enterprise Project- Niger Delta (LIFE-ND), and intends to apply part of the proceeds for the procurement of Agricultural inputs and related services under this program. Specifically, the project will undertake the procurement of the following Agro inputs, which will include delivery and distribution to designated beneficiaries in participating LGAs and Communities within the state:

The project includes the following components: (a) Enhancement of economic opportunities for rural youth and women which includes Support to Rural Agribusiness Incubation, Production and Marketing Infrastructure Support to Agribusinesses, Financial Inclusion support for Agric Business, Rural Institution Strengthening and Knowledge Management (b) Program Management and Coordination,
All Procurements financed by the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) will be conducted through the procedures as Specified in the IFAD Procurement Guidelines 2010 and IFAD procurement Handbook and are open to all eligible bidders as defined in the guidelines.
(1) Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from the State Project Coordinator, Livelihood Improvement Family Enterprise Niger Delta (LIFE-ND) Project, ADP Premises, K/m 3 Umuahia/Okigwe Road Umuahia and inspect the bidding documents at the address given below, between the hours of 10.00 am to 4.00pm Mondays to Fridays, except on public holidays.
(2) A complete set of Bidding Documents in English may be purchased by interested bidders on the submission of a written Application to the address below and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of N20,000.00 (Twenty Thousand Naira only). The method of payment will be by certified Bank Draft in Favour of Abia State IFAD assisted Livelihood Improvement Family Enterprise Niger Delta (LIFE-ND) Project. The Bidding Documents can be collected by the representative of the Bidder on request.
(3) Bids must be delivered to the address below at or before 10:00am local time on Tuesday, 3 November, 2023.
Late Bids will not be accepted s will be rejected. Bids will be opened in the presence of the bidders’ or representatives, who choose to attend at the address below on 3 November, 2023 at 12.00am local time.
Bids Nos 1-3 will be opened by 10.30am on the 3 November, 2023 while Bid Nos 4-6 will be opened by 12.00 noon on 3rd November, 2023. All bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security of as stated in the table above in local currency.
