SALES OF UNSERVICEABLE ITEMS
The Federal Medical Centre, Abeokuta wishes to dispose its unserviceable properties in line with Public Procurement Act 2017 and Section 2619 of the Federal Government Financial Regulation 2009. The Centre has carried out the valuation of the items to be disposed, the values of which are the reserved prices.

CONDITIONS FOR BIDDING (UNSERVICEABLE)
(1) Two weeks is given for the inspection of the items within the workings days at the Hospital premises of the Federal Medical Centre, Abeokuta.
(2) The winner shall be the highest bidder over and above the Centre’s reserved prices. In a situation where no bidder meets the reserved price, the three (3) highest bidders will be invited to re-bid for the item.
(3) Payment shall be made as follows:
(a) Non-refundable sum of Two Thousand Five Hundred Naira only (N2,500:00) will be made for LOT 11 – LOT 16 and One Thousand Five Hundred Naira only (N1,500:00) for others payable at the revenue unit of Federal Medical Centre, Abeokuta..
(b) The receipt generated shall be submitted with the Tender on or before the closing date of submission
(c) Winner shall make full payment of the bid price within two (2) weeks of receipt of letter and payable at the Revenue Unit of the Federal Medical Centre, Abeokuta.
PLEASE NOTE THAT EACH LOT HAS ITS OWN BID SECURITY SEPARATELY, HENCE PAYMENT SHOULD BE MADE SEPARATELY.
(d) Winner shall take possession of the items and move same out of the premises of the Centre their own cost within one (1) week after full payment.
Failure to do this will attract a demurrage payment of 1 % per day of the bid price for a maximum of two (2) weeks after which the bid will revert to the next highest bidder.
(e) If the reserved price is not met for a particular lot, the lot will go for a further round of bid.
(f) The items shall be bidded for “As is Where is Basis” without Testing.

SUBMISSION AND OPENING OF BIDS
(1) Completed bid(s) shall be submitted in sealed envelope with the Item Name and Lot Nos, at the top right hand corner and dropped in the Tender Box located at the Medical Director’s Office, Federal Medical Centre, Abeokuta on or before 27 February, 2024.
(2) Bid closes at 12noon on 27 February, 2024.
(3) Bids will be opened 12noon on 27 February 2024 and successful bidder will be communicated via a letter/message from the Hospital Management.

( c) The Centre is not bound to any bidder and reserves the right to annul the disposal process at any time without incurring any liability and assigning any reason thereof.

SUBMISSION OF BIDDING DOCUMENTS
All documents stated above must be in a wax –sealed envelope to be addressed to the Medical Director, Federal Medical Centre, Abeokuta. The outer envelope should be marked “SECRET” with the appropriate project name boldly written on top right hand corner of the envelope and to be brough to the Medical Director’s Office not later than 12:00 noon on the day of the opening of bid documents on 27 February, 2024.
